Malobi Achike is admitted to practice as an attorney in the State of Minnesota and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in May 2008.

At Igbanugo Partners Int'l Law Firm PLLC, Ms. Achike’s responsibilities include preparing immigration petitions and applications; assisting with motions and appeals before the federal courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Executive Office for Immigration Review; and interviewing witnesses, preparing affidavits and gathering documentary evidence for clients.

Prior to joining Igbanugo Partners, Ms. Achike worked as a Law Clerk at the law office of Nwaneri & Associates for over three years. In law school, Ms. Achike served as a Certified Student Attorney in both the University of St. Thomas Law Immigration Clinic and Advanced Immigration Clinic, and participated in the Negotiation, Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy Courses. Ms. Achike also represented her school in the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition where she was a Quarterfinalist, and worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Charles Reid.

Ms. Achike was born in Enugu, Nigeria and is fluent in Igbo.  In 1996, her family relocated to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she lived for seven years before moving to the Twin Cities. Ms. Achike earned a British Law Degree (with honors) in 2003, after studying as an external student with the University of London.
