Minneapolis, Minnesota Office Irena Purves is an attorney at Igbanugo Partners Int’l Law Firm, PLLC where she focuses on Immigration and Nationality Law. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota. She is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Ms. Purves obtained her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law. While attending law school, she worked as a research assistant for Professor Kimberly Dayton and participated in the Immigration Client Representation Clinic and Feminist Jurisprudence Writing Contest. Ms. Purves completed her undergraduate education at Southwest Minnesota State University where she was a recipient of a presidential scholarship. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Ms. Purves is fluent in Russian. She has significant experience working with a diverse Minnesota population through her previous employment as a social worker in the non-profit sector and as a real estate agent with Edina Realty. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Elder Justice and Policy in addition to contributing to the Minnesota State Bar Association Elder Law Section e-newsletter.
