Dena M. Sonbol serves as a contract attorney at Igbanugo Partners Int’l Law Firm, PLLC and is a member of its Strategic Alliance team with Foley & Mansfield, PLLP, where she provides legal services in her practice area and contributes to the firm’s marketing initiatives.

Ms. Sonbol is a 2008 magna cum laude graduate of Hamline University School of Law where she served on the Journal of Public Law and Policy and competed in the National Tax Moot Court Competition. She graduated amongst the top 10% of her class and was the recipient of a full Presidential Scholarship and two CALI Awards for Excellence in the study of Law and Economics and Quality of Health Care.

After being admitted to the Minnesota State Bar, Ms. Sonbol joined the premier law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard as a Corporate Real Estate Attorney. In that capacity, she represented the interests of many diverse clients ranging from start-up businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

Ms. Sonbol focuses her practice on all aspects of corporate and real estate matters including acquisition, disposition, and leasing. She prepares, interprets, and analyzes transactional documents within the real estate and corporate contexts, performs title review and objections to title, and advises clients regarding zoning, rezoning, municipal ordinance requirements, licensure, and compliance.  She believes legal issues are best resolved by giving due consideration to the non-legal facets of a situation and therefore follows a holistic approach to addressing legal matters. 

In addition, as a Visiting Professor at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ms. Sonbol teaches Legal Analysis & Writing, Oral Advocacy, and Professionalism to first year law students. She is passionate about giving back to the legal community by preparing future attorneys to join the legal profession as ethical, skilled and avid members of the bar.
